Mission Statement for PCmc, Pu'uhonua
"Love Beyond Ourselves"
Matthew 22:37:39, "Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (MEV)
Vision Statement
Praise Chapel's vision is summarized as "Evangelized the Lost, Disciple the Believers and multiply through "Church Planting" or more briefly, "Win-Build-Send".
Our Belief
The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. In the "blessed hope": the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming. The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by who's indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
The Apostle Creed
We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
